Ford Specialty Hex Nutsert® M6-1.0 .5mm-4.2mm Grip • The Nutsert® threaded insert is a steel, low profile, expanding insert available in standard and metric thread sizes. An expanding insert is a single piece, which breaks into two pieces during installation. The lower threaded section of the insert draws up inside the upper sleeve section, causing the sleeve to expand 360o thus swaging the insert into the hole. Because the insert does not form a bubble on the backside of the application, an expanding insert can be used in blind hole applications
